Ford's answer to Chrysler's hemi- 427 SOHC (single overhead cam). Was basically a 427 wedge with a set of chain driven overhead cam hemi heads. Was available from Ford in the 1960's and it supposedly put out 616 hp@7000 rpm with 2-4 barrel carburetors. This one has fuel injection and was used in early funny cars.

Mighty Motors

Powerful and interesting car motors I have seen in my travels to dragstrips and car shows. The days of the high powered internal combustion engine seem to be limited in these days of limited petroleum resources and rising fuel costs, so enjoy them while you can!
